KodaDot is an open-source NFT marketplace built on the [Polkadot network](https://wiki.polkadot.network/docs/learn-nft-projects#kodadot). Our mission is to create an inclusive platform for collaboration where creators, developers, and community members can work together to shape the future of NFTs on Polkadot.

As one of the first [public goods](https://damsky.medium.com/web3-the-next-global-public-good-heres-the-missing-piece-1f8dae699e4e) projects on Kusama and Polkadot, we aim to represent the interests of the community through an open and transparent development process. Anyone can [contribute ideas](https://github.com/kodadot/nft-gallery/issues/new?assignees=\&labels=enhancement\&projects=\&template=feature.yml\&title=Be+descriptive+and+short) and provide feedback to our developers.

We value openness, sustainability, trust-building, and rewarding dedicated contributors. Our team is diverse and welcoming to people from all backgrounds, whether you're a student, parent, career-changer, or veteran developer.

[KodaDot](https://github.com/kodadot/nft-gallery) currently supports trading NFTs across 9 different standards on 6 different Polkadot chains. By consolidating many networks into one marketplace, we make Polkadot NFTs easily discoverable and tradable for all.

Our roadmap includes adopting more carbon-neutral technologies and partnering with ecological initiatives to offset emissions. We are proud to be built on the energy-efficient Kusama network and work with partners like [Offsetra](https://offsetra.com/profile/kodadot) and [RMTerra](https://blog.kodadot.xyz/you-dont-need-to-go-far-to-help-the-nature-just-mint-on-kodadot-496fc60cd748) on sustainability efforts.

In the collaborative spirit of Polkadot, KodaDot aims to be an inclusive public platform for all. We welcome technical and non-technical contributions from our community to help shape the future of NFTs.
