ðŸ•ķïļHow to Mass Mint NFTs

Effortlessly mint multiple NFTs with our step-by-step guide. Master the art of mass minting and make your mark in the digital art world.

Mass Mint on KodaDot

Welcome to KodaDot, the world of NFTs! We have made the process of mass minting NFTs smoother, faster, and easier. Let's dive in and see how you can create multiple unique NFTs with ease and efficiency. Currently, mass minting is live on Kusama Asset Hub

NFT Naming Protocols:

Your NFTs need to be named in an organized, systematic way for easy reference. We recommend naming your files numerically or consecutively. For example, use monikers like '1.png', '2.png', '3.png', or something more descriptive like 'sunset_art_1.png', 'sunset_art_2.png', etc.

In the bottom right corner, you can download a file template.

Description of Your NFTs:

Each NFT should have a unique name, a comprehensive description, and a price. Keep these details ready in a separate file (.TXT, .JSON, or CSV formats) to speed up the process and avoid manual input for each NFT.

Examples of TXT files:

  • Name, description, and price may be different for each NFT

  • Please space the text correctly (two spaces between each NFT) - check the examples below

Example 1:

file: sunset_art_1.png

name: Sunset 1

description: The most beautiful sunset.

price: 1

file: sunset_art_1.png

name: Sunset 2

description: Even prettier sunset.

price: 1

Example 2: Four NFTs with the same description and price and with different names.

  • The names in the file: lines must match the actual names of the files

Examples of JSON files:

[
    {
        "file": "file1.jpg",
        "name": "Image1",
        "description": "This is an image",
        "price": 2.45
    },
    {
        "file": "file2.jpg",
        "name": "Image2",
        "price": 200
    },
    {
        "file": "file3.jpg",
        "description": "This is another image"
    }
]

Examples of CSV files:

file,name,description,price
file1.jpg,Image1,This is an image,100
file2.jpg,Image2,,200
file3.jpg,,This is another image,

Creating an NFT Collection:

To use the Mass Mint feature, you need to have an NFT collection where all your creations will go. If you do not have an existing collection, no worries, you can easily create one during the Mass Mint process.

Now, step by step

This guide is set to make your Mass Mint journey a breeze. If any issues arise or further assistance is needed, feel free to reach out to our support. Happy minting!

Step 1: Prepare Your NFT Files First, you'll need to compile the digital files you want to turn into NFTs. These can be images, audio files, 3D models, etc. Ensure they're saved in a supported format and clearly named - zip the image files together into one.

Step 2: Craft Your Descriptions For each NFT you plan to mint, create a unique name, a comprehensive description, and set a price. Keep these details ready in a separate file (.TXT, .JSON, or CSV formats) for easier input later.

You will end up with two documents: Both of them needed in the mass mint process

  • One will be your TXT/JSON or CSV format - with the names, descriptions...

  • The other one will be your zip file - your image files compiled to one file

Step 3: Go to KodaDot Open your web browser and navigate to the KodaDot website. If you don't have an account, create one. If you already have an account, log in.

Step 4: Create or Choose Your Collection Once logged in, navigate to the Mass Mint option. Here you'll need to either create a new NFT collection or select an existing one where your new NFTs will be minted.

Step 5: Initiate Mass Mint Inside the collection, click on the 'Mass Mint' option. Here you can upload or drag-and-drop your prepared NFT files.

Step 6: Fill in Details The system will ask for the information you prepared in Step 2. If you have a file with this information, you can import it now. Otherwise, you can input the information manually.

Step 7: Review and Mint Once all information is in, review it for any mistakes. When you're ready, click on the 'Mint' button. Your NFTs will now be minted and added to your collection.

Step 8: Confirmation and Payment You'll receive a confirmation message and a prompt for payment. Accept and proceed with paying the gas fees to complete the process.

Congratulations! You've successfully minted multiple NFTs on KodaDot.
